"I am feeling so good today. God opened up my eyes today. I am happy ...being loved by friends. Being at the library. Sitting with you. I went to Reading High School and I liked that. I like the warm weather and the sun."
"What is it like to be me today? It is beautiful. My mind is positive. I'm happy because I see and want a change. Leaving old things behind. It's really good being me if I actually be who I am, which is so much to know, so much to see, and so much to do to be Me. All I know is I am a leader. So I was born to lead. That's what it's like being Beverly H.
P.S. Thanks for asking what it's like being me."

Our Mission
We work to help people claim their voice and rewrite the city's narrative by producing an urban 'zine.
We work to create a platform where anyone, irregardless of income, education or background, can submit thoughtful, critical & provocative writing that instigates change, thought or growth at the individual and community level.
We believe that each of us has something important to say. We believe that
listening to someone else’s story is the most human thing we can do. We believe that telling our stories makes us whole.
We envision a city where civic-engagement and participation in community change is the norm because the population is educated on, helped to, and rewarded for participation.
